PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal catalyst carrier and a production method thereof which enhance an exhaust-gas cleaning performance without adding parts further.

SOLUTION: The metal catalyst carrier 1 has a honeycomb body 2 in which starting end parts of a liquid metallic foil 4 and a plate-like metallic foil 5 are piled each other to be multiply wound, wherein a control part 8 for controlling flowing of the exhaust gas in a core part 7 is formed at the core part 7 of the honeycomb body 2.
