<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device optimum for the operation after return from a sleep state. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming device provided with a hard disk storage means for storing user registration data registered by users has a display means for displaying the user registration data selectively, an electric power supply means for supplying electric power into the hard disk storage means, and an electric power supply control means capable of starting or shutting off supply of electric power into the hard disk storage means and provided in the electric power supply means. This image forming device is further provided with a switching memory and an access switching means. The switching memory stores the user registration data from the hard disk storage means.
