PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vibration control panel having a simple structure and excellent energy absorption capacity. SOLUTION: In the vibration control panel, a vibration control device 1 is arranged in the center of a plane of a structure surrounded by columns 3 and beams 4. The vibration control device 1 includes an energy absorbing element (a plate material) 5 absorbing the energy by shear deformation in the plane of structure. Both side faces of the energy absorbing element 5 are reinforced by flanges 18 by which elasticity to bending stress is imparted. Both ends of the energy absorbing element 5 are joined to joint members 6 in the state that the bending moment can be transmitted. Corners of the vibration control device 1 are connected to joint parts 20 of the columns and beams by the intermediary of diagonal members 2 (2a, 2b) having a slenderness ratio exceeding 250 enabling introduction of initial tensile force. The vibration control device 1 absorbs energy by shear yield of the energy absorbing element 5 by the action of the tensile force of the diagonal members 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
