PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable inductor for constituting a voltage-controlled oscillator by parallel resonance of LC, the variable inductor being compact, having deterioration in Q value suppressed, and being capable of oscillating at a plurality of frequencies. SOLUTION: The variable inductor 100 has an axis Y-Y' of axisymmetry, and has one center point Z that a plurality of arcs that the variable inductor 100 has share. The variable inductor 100 includes a first inductor part Ind1 that is composed of arcs on a first circumference which have their center points at a point Z, and are axisymmetrical with respect to the Y-Y', and a second inductor part Ind2 that is composed of arcs on a second circumference which have their center points at a point Z, and are axisymmetrical with respect to the Y-Y'. The Ind1 extends from a terminal D' to a terminal D" axisymmetrical to the terminal D' with respect to the Y-Y'. The Ind2 extends from a terminal E' to a terminal E" axisymmetrical to terminal E' with respect to the Y-Y'.
