PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining method securing rigidity in such a state that a foamed sheet is joined to a resin member, when the foamed sheet is joined to the resin member. SOLUTION: In the method for joining the foamed sheet 20 being a design panel to both side surfaces of the resin member 10 being a housing box, a rib 12 is formed on the surface of the resin member 10 and the top end surface 12a of the formed rib 12 and the surface of the foamed sheet 20 are joined to each other by vibration welding, so that even when the rigidity of the foamed sheet 20 itself is inferior, the inferior strength can be corrected by the rib formed in the resin member 10.
