PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a galvanized heat-treated steel member, even if a galvanized steel member is heat-treated, in which a prescribed plating layer is made to remain, and corrosion resistance after coating and coating film adhesion as those of an automotive member are secured. SOLUTION: The galvanized heat-treated steel member is obtained by performing heating to a galvanized steel member in a temperature region at which plastic deformation is possible or a temperature region at which quenching is possible, and in which, the coating weight of the plating layer present on the surface is 20 to 100 g/m<SP>2</SP>, the concentration of Fe in the plating layer is 10 to 35%, also, aηphase is present on the plating layer, and further, the average roughness Ra in the central line of the surface of the plating layer is 1.5 to 5μm. The steel member is produced by subjecting a galvanized steel member in which the coating weight of the plating layer is 30 to 150 g/m<SP>2</SP>per side, and further, Fe is comprised by≤20% in the plating layer to heating to the above temperature region at a temperature rising rate of≥30°C/s, and then to cooling at a cooling rate of≥30°C/s, and thereafter regulating the surface roughness of the plating layer remaining in the surface of the galvanized steel member by a pressure roll abutted against the surface of the galvanized steel member.
