The method involves providing a foaming mold (2) with a cavity (8) limited by a wall (10). A molded part (12) projecting into the cavity is fastened to the wall. A cover for an air cushion is applied on the molded part. The cavity is foamed with a foam material under connection of the foam material with the cover. The foaming mold is removed together with the molded part under arrangement of the cover within a produced foam material body and under arrangement of an outer opening in the cover. The outer opening in the cover is locked when the air cushion is produced. The cover is manufactured from elastic material e.g. rubber or latex.
