PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration in coloring and corrosion resistance caused by magnetic annealing.

SOLUTION: In soft magnetic stainless steel, by measurement according to XPS, an oxide film in the surface of a steel sheet comprises N by 5 to 15 at%, and in which the total of the atomic ratios of Al, Si, Cr, Fe and N is ≥95 at%.
