<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing carbon nanotubes (CNT) where high resolution, low cost, easiness in production and mass-production are achieved simultaneously in the local synthesis of the CNT and to provide two-dimensionally patterned CNT obtained thereby. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the two-dimensionally patterned CNT has (A) a step to prepare a substrate, (B) a step to form a first two-dimensional pattern consisting of a hydrophobic surface and a hydrophilic surface by (1) masking and electromagnetic wave irradiation or (2) electron beam irradiation on the substrate, (C) a step to coat a catalyst-containing liquid on the substrate having the first two-dimensional pattern and form a second two-dimensional pattern depending on the presence or absence of a catalyst and (D) a step to form the two-dimensional pattern of the CNT on the obtained substrate by ACCVD. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
