<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for hybrid vehicle that provides satisfactory drivability even when a drive system has a continuously variable transmission CVT. <P>SOLUTION: The controller for hybrid vehicle includes an engine Eng and a motor (motor/generator MG) as driving sources, the continuously variable transmission CVT, and driving wheels (right and left rear wheels RT, LT) in the drive system, as well as a shift control means (flow chart in Fig.3). When the gear ratio of the continuously variable transmission is changed, the shift control means performs first shift control (shift control at the highest speed (step S11)) to change the gear ratio at a large change speed, then performs second shift control (shift control at intermediate speed (step S12)) to change speed according to a required driving force while changing the gear ratio at a lower change speed than that in the first shift control. Thus, the speed can be changed according to the required driving force, and the time (highest change time) to continue the first shift control is set longer according as the required driving force becomes large with respect to the output torque of the driving source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
