PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source module capable of improving utilization efficiency of incident light and capable of uniformalizing luminance of emitting light and illuminance distribution, and to provide electronic equipment such as an image reading device and a lighting device equipped with the light source module.

SOLUTION: The light source module is provided with a light source 12 and a light guide body 10. The light guide body 10 has a light coupling surface 14 on which light from the light source 12 enters and a light extraction surface 16 adjacent to the light coupling surface 14. A first light diffusion structure 22 is provided on a first light diffusion surface 18 opposed to the light extraction surface 16 and a second light diffusion structure 24 extending in the longitudinal direction of the light guide body 10 is provided on the light extraction surface 16.
