<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointing device used without restriction of a maximum movement distance by size of a desk pad. <P>SOLUTION: The pointing device includes: two or more infrared light emission parts 21; and a movable part 22 mounted with an infrared sensor. Each infrared light emission part includes: a rotation irradiation mechanism irradiating infrared light with the emitted infrared light made to have directivity, and continuously rotating an irradiation direction thereof; and a natural frequency signal superposition mechanism superposing a natural frequency signal changing correspondingly to the irradiation direction of the infrared light irradiated from each infrared light source on the infrared light. The pointing device calculates position data of the movable part based on position information of the infrared light emission parts and the natural frequency signals included in the infrared light from the two infrared light emission parts detected by the infrared light detector of the movable part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
