<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably convey a developer scraped by a cleaning member. <P>SOLUTION: A developer-conveying device conveys a developer which is removed, by a cleaning member, from the surface of a rotating image carrier. In this case, the device includes: a developer-conveying path which is arranged below the cleaning member in a direction parallel to the rotary shaft of the image carrier and in which a conveying path is formed, which receives and conveys the developer removed by the cleaning member; an endless conveying member which is arranged in the developer-conveying path and freely rotates in the direction parallel to the rotary shaft of the image carrier; and a driving means which rotates the conveying member.
