PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control circuit for notifying history information of data transmission and reception, and to provide an information processing apparatus and a control method. SOLUTION: In the information processing apparatus having a plurality of system boards, the control circuit of a chip 61 belonging to each system board includes: a reception circuit part 611 for receiving data transmitted by another chip 61; a trigger packet determining part 612 for determining whether the received data is a trigger packet 71 including history acquisition information with an instruction of history acquisition of the data transmission and reception set therein and reading the history acquisition information when the received data is the trigger packet 71; a history acquisition executing part 615 for starting or stopping acquiring history information according to the read history acquisition information; and a transmission circuit part 618 for transmitting the trigger packet 71 or a packet other than the trigger packet 71 as data to the data reception circuit.
