PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize air flow and reduce its fluttering by preventing a web conveyed at a high speed from being likely to move away from a stabilizer. SOLUTION: The web stabilizer is adapted to stabilize the web moving across a span between two components of a web machine or a plurality of web machines. The stabilizer includes a surface facing and adjacent the moving web and at least one transition part 5 in the surface of the stabilizer, wherein the transition part 5 forms a level difference having a right-angled corner.
