PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein a fluid is not used efficiently by an amount of a floating mist, when generating the floating mist floating without being shot onto a medium when injecting the fluid, and to enhance image quality. SOLUTION: This fluid injection device includes a nozzle 32 for injecting a fluid, a conveying part 20 for conveying the medium S shot with the fluid, at a prescribed conveying speed along a conveying direction, and a mist suction part 40 for sucking air containing the mists, to move the mist, that is one part of the fluid injected from the nozzle 32 and the mist floating without being shot on the medium S, at a speed higher than the prescribed conveying speed along the prescribed conveying direction.
