<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently convey a lateral gusset medicine bag by preventing rapid increase of conveying resistance by providing an auxiliary roller for restricting opening of a gusset part near an entrance of a curved part of a sheet conveying device in a paper conveying device and a paper sorting device of an image forming device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The lateral gusset medicine bag is conveyed between a first guide plate 4 and a second guide plate 5 in a conveying direction by a drive roller 8 and a driven roller 9, i.e., a first conveying means in such a state that the gusset of the lateral gusset medicine bag is opened. It is transferred to a drive roller 10 and a driven roller 11, i.e., a second conveying means via a conveying passage comprising a third guide plate 6a having an at least curved distal end and a fourth guide plate 6b having a curved surface. An auxiliary conveying roller 14 at a drive side and an auxiliary conveying roller 15 at a driven side are provided near the entrance at the conveying route side, i.e., a distal end part side of the third guide plate 6a and the fourth guide plate 6b.
