<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a space for performing maintenance inspection of apparatuses and components in a nuclear power plant; to treat waste efficiently; and to shorten a periodic inspection period. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This nuclear power plant includes a maintenance support center building 11 wherein a maintenance center 12 for disassembling and inspecting apparatuses and components in the nuclear power plant, and a waste treatment center 13 for dismantling and decontaminating apparatuses and components designated as waste objects in the maintenance center 12, are formed in a body. The maintenance center 12 includes a small apparatus inspection area 14 for inspecting a small apparatus, a large apparatus inspection area 15 for inspecting a large apparatus, and a large apparatus dismantling area 15 for dismantling a large apparatus. The waste treatment center 13 includes a small apparatus dismantling classification area 18 for dismantling and classifying a dismantled large apparatus and a small object apparatus designated as a waste object, a decontamination area 19 for decontaminating apparatuses and components, and a measuring chamber 20 for measuring radioactivity from apparatuses and components.
