PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of removing contamination without damaging a plastic, and recovering the original transparency and gloss relating to plastic goods in which the transparency and gloss are damaged by the contamination such as water stain and dust adhered to the plastic surface, chemicals in the atmosphere, and a deteriorated material of plastic. SOLUTION: The plastic surface is frictioned by a friction material which is a rubber-like elastic body composed of a flexible composition containing a polymer and a plasticizer to remove the contamination, and the plastic is cleaned by a cleaning agent containing a surfactant or the remaining fouling is removed by frictioning with a cloth.
