<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel and an optical apparatus having the same, reducing movement noise (zoom noise) when a lens group is moved during zooming, and enabling macro shooting at high magnification with a simple structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The lens barrel is in a collapsed state, a zoom shooting state, or a macro shooting state, depending on the position in an optical axis direction of a movable barrel. In the zoom shooting state, the movable barrel is immovable in the optical axis direction, and the lens group is driven relative to the movable barrel in the optical axis direction by a first drive source. In the collapsed state and the macro shooting state, the movable barrel is driven in the optical axis direction by rotating a cam ring around the optical axis by a second drive source.
