<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply pump capable of surely supplying fuel as a lubricant to an abutment part between a plunger and a cam part brought into pressure-contact with each other at high pressure, restricting deterioration of pump efficiency. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A pump housing 11 is provided with a housing side fuel lead passage 27 communicating a sliding region of a plunger 15 in the inner peripheral surface of a cylinder 14 with a supply passage 24. The plunger 15 is provided with a plunger side fuel lead passage 28 opened in the abutment surface 20 with a cam ring 18 in one end thereof and opened in the outer peripheral surface in the other end thereof. When the relative speed of the plunger 15 and the cam ring 18 to each other becomes low, the housing side fuel lead passage 27 and the plunger side fuel lead passage 28 are communicated with each other to supply the high-pressure fuel of the supply passage 24 to the abutment surface 20.
