<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PDP for actualizing good image display with high picture quality and high brightness in a wide color reproductive range while suppressing color mixture and unevenness in full HD. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the plasma display panel, a front plate having a pair of display electrodes and a back plate having a data electrode and barrier ribs 109, 111 are opposed to each other with the pair of display electrodes crossing the data electrode to form discharge cells. The barrier ribs include a plurality of vertical barrier ribs 109 arranged in parallel to the data electrode, and a plurality of horizontal barrier ribs 111 crossing the vertical barrier ribs 109 at crossing joint portions to form the hanging-rack barrier ribs.
