PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data delivery system and a data delivery method, for further surely distributing accurate software resources to a terminal device while reducing the processing load of a central device and an intermediate device storing software resources. SOLUTION: Resource information which stores a version number of software resources registered in a main server device 10 in association with the software resources is stored. The software resources and the resource information are transmitted to sub-server devices 20, 20, etc. and a generated server list is transmitted to PCs 30, 30, etc. The PCs 30, 30, etc. obtains resource information stored in the sub-server devices 20, 20, etc. from the sub-server devices 20, 20, etc. shown in the received server list.
