Provided is a drive assisting display device, which facilitates movement of a line of sight for confirming safety of the back or front of a vehicle and for grasping an extremely limited area around the vehicle at the step of ending a parking operation and which displays a photographing image large in a well-balanced manner. Numeral 10c designates a photographing screen for displaying a wide range at the back of the vehicle. Numeral 11c designates a photographing screen in which the back region of the vehicle is changed in the line of sight into an image looked down from a virtual point of view. Numeral 13 designates a photographing screen in which the individual sides of the photographing screen (11c) excepting the bottom side and the reduced individual sides of the photographing screen (10c) are extended to join at the portions corresponding to the same photographing positions. Numeral 12c designates a mask drawing screen for filling the clearances other than those where the photographing screen (10c), the photographing screen (11c) and the photographing screen (13) are displayed. The photographing screen (10c), the photographing screen (13) and the photographing screen (11c) are clearly discriminated from one another by drawing lines at the boundaries thereof. |
