The method involves producing test images from a three dimensional object (P) using inspection cameras, respectively. Verification is made whether the test images represent information of a destination point by evaluating the test images of the inspection cameras. The object is rotated by a conveying system (F) based on the verification result, such that the information fall into visual fields of recognition-cameras (1-3). Additional images are produced from the object using the recognition-cameras, where the additional images represent the information in decipherable form. An independent claim is also included for a device for transporting a three dimensional object.
