Collection chamber (110) comprises a connection mechanism for connecting a drainage tube (101) having a first end connectable to the patient, and a second end connectable to the collection chamber. A kidney shaped cross section is provided for adding the stability, rigidness, and ergonomic usage of the chamber. An independent claim is also included for a non-return valve unit for use in the above collection chamber comprising a flexible membrane and a capillary breaker.
