<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve higher propylene selectivity at a lower temperature than that used up to now on performing catalytic cracking of paraffin by using an MCM-68 having a zeolite skeleton. <P>SOLUTION: The yield of the propylene in the cracking products is found to be higher than that with conventional zeolite catalyst (ZSM-5 etc.), by adjusting the Al amount in an aluminosilicate [Al]-MCM-68, and utilizing it as the catalyst for the catalytic cracking of hexane. The method for producing light weight olefins by catalytically cracking a paraffin raw material is provided by using the aluminosilicate MCM-68 having 20 to 150 Si/Al ratio, as the catalyst. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
