<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means of preventing peeling-off of an active material layer in a bipolar electrode. <P>SOLUTION: A bipolar secondary battery has a power generating element in which the bipolar electrode and an electrolyte layer are laminated. The bipolar electrode has a current collector including a resin layer which has a first resin as the base material, and has conductivity, a positive electrode active material layer formed on one face of the current collector, and a negative electrode active material layer formed on the other face of the current collector. The outer peripheral part of a single cell layer constituted of the positive electrode active material layer, the electrolyte layer, and the negative electrode active material layer is sealed by a sealing part having a second resin as the base material.
