<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio wave absorber capable of reducing a matching thickness while maintaining improvement effect on return loss at a high level. <P>SOLUTION: The radio wave absorber made of an MnZn-based ferrite sintered compact contains a principal component comprising 45.0 to 49.0 mol% iron oxide in terms of Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 19.0 to 23.0 mol% zinc oxide in terms of ZnO, and 28.0 to 36.0% manganese oxide in terms of MnO, and also contains, as accessory components for the 100 pts.wt. principal component, 1,000 to 7,000 wt.ppm. cobalt oxide in terms of CoO, 10 to 200 wt.ppm. silicon oxide in terms of SiC<SB>2</SB>, 0 to 500 wt.ppm. vanadium oxide in terms of V<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>, and 200 to 2,500 wt.ppm. calcium oxide in terms of CaO, the ratio of Mn<SP>2+</SP>to Mn<SP>3+</SP>being 0.04 to 0.3 and a grain boundary thickness being 1.0 to 2.0 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
