<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonmagnetic one-component toner achieving both of fixing property and charging performance and a novel and superior method for manufacturing the nonmagnetic one-component toner, and to provide an image forming method, an image forming device, and a process cartridge using the toner suitably. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a toner includes processes for: preparing an oil phase by dissolving or dispersing toner materials, which includes at least an unmodified polyester resin, a urea-bondable or urethane-bondable modified polyester resin, a coloring agent and a mold releasing agent, and an inorganic basic substance in an organic solvent; preparing a colored particle dispersion liquid by dispersing/emulsifying the oil phase in an aqueous medium and granulating colored particles in the aqueous medium; removing a solvent from the colored particles; and washing and filtrating the colored particles.
