<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present a user-interface picture for channel registration of a plurality of favorite channels so that a background display image is easy to view. <P>SOLUTION: A favorite channel registration picture 610 only for channels to be registered is presented so as to reduce an area rate for an image 600 of a program being displayed when processing for individually registering a plurality of favorite channels is requested to be executed when specified channels among a plurality of receivable channels are optionally registered as the plurality of favorite channels.
