PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-repellent structure the water repellency of which is not deteriorated easily even by an operation of wiping the surface thereof, which can exhibit an excellent water-repellent function over a long period of time and which is suitable for water-repellent glass for cars or a coating film for cars and to provide a water-repellent structure body having the water-repellent structure, for example, components such as a window panel and a meter cover of cars. SOLUTION: The water-repellent structure is obtained by forming a covering layer L comprising the following compounds on the rugged surface of a base material 1 having a water-repellent minute rugged structure formed by arraying numberless conical projections 2 two-dimensionally. The compounds, each of which has a chemically bondable portion and a water-repellent functional group, are a first water-repellent compound A consisting of a carbon-containing compound and a second water-repellent compound composed of a carbon-containing compound B, which has the carbon atoms smaller than those of the first water-repellent compound A, and/or an inorganic compound C.
