PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply, along with an image forming apparatus and a program, capable of suppressing degradation of power supply efficiency due to a drop in power consumption in a destination to which power is supplied. SOLUTION: The power supply includes a rectifier circuit DB which full-wave rectifies an AC power inputted from an AC power supply P, a branch wiring for branching an output of the rectifier circuit DB, inductors L1 and L2 provided to the branch wiring, DC/DC converters 60B and 60C which consolidate the output currents of the inductors L1 and L2 to generate a DC voltage, and transistors Q1 and Q2 which are provided to correspond to the inductors L1 and L2 and intermit the currents flowing the inductors L1 and L2 so that the average current of the AC power comes to form a sine wave. When a power consumption under load is larger than a predetermined power, the connection periods of respective transistors are so controlled as to overlap each other at least in a part of them. When the power consumption is equal to the predetermined value or less, the connection periods of respective transistors are so controlled not to overlap each other but to be continuous.
