PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for manufacturing grooved trolley wires which are high in productivity and excellent in surface quality and straightness. SOLUTION: The apparatus M for manufacturing the grooved trolley wires includes: a feeding device (supply) 10; wire drawing dies 20, 21; a scalping device 30; a grooving device 40; a winding device 50; a transporting device (capstan) 60 and a guide 70. The apparatus M has a series of production line where the delivery of a rough drawing wire, wire drawing work for working into a drawn material D1 having a predetermined wire diameter, a grooving work for working into the grooved trolley wire T by forming grooves on the drawn material D1 and the winding of the grooved trolley wire T are performed continuously.
