Disclosed are an admixture for cement mortar and cement mortar comprising same. The disclosed admixture for cement mortar contains at least one of hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose having a degree of substitution with methyl groups (DS) of 1.6 to 2.0, and hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose having a degree of substitution with hydroxypropyl groups (MS) of 0.4 to 1.0. Further, cement mortar comprising the admixture for cement mortar is disclosed.
