<p>A method, communication system and protocol entity for improving the performance of relay network system are disclosed by embodiments of the present invention. The method comprises: relay radio link control (RRLC) layer entity receives the packets transmitted by at least two packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer entities; RRLC entity aggregates the packets; and RRLC entity transmits the aggregated packets to the radio link control (RLC) layer entity, thereby enabling the aggregated packets to be transmitted to the receiving device via RLC layer, MAC layer, and L1 layer. Utilizing the solution provided by embodiments of the present invention, the system performance of the relay network system is enhanced by making full use of the transmission resource over the wireless link from relay station to base station.</p> |
