<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical parametric oscillator that is compact, has high portability, and suppresses power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The optical parametric oscillator includes a first resonator 4 for resonating pump light, and a second resonator 5 for resonating signal light and for output of idler light to the outside. The first resonator 4 includes a solid laser crystal 6 for generating pump light, a first reflection mirror 7 arranged between an excitation light source and the solid laser crystal 6, and a second reflection mirror 8 that faces the first reflection mirror 7 while gripping the solid laser crystal 6, and resonates the pump light using the first reflection mirror 7. The second resonator 5 includes a nonlinear optical crystal 9 that is arranged between the solid laser crystal 6 and the second reflection mirror 8 and converts the pump light into signal light and idler light, the second reflection mirror 8 for transmitting idler light, and a third reflection mirror 10 that is positioned between the solid laser crystal 6 and the nonlinear optical crystal 9 and resonates the signal light using the second reflection mirror 8. At least one of the second reflection mirror 8 and the third reflection mirror 10 is formed on an end surface of the nonlinear optical crystal 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
