<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling die with which the effect of waviness caused on the surface of a tooth is reduced while raising working specific pressure to a gear, and a method of working an internal gear. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This die is a rolling die for working the internal gear which has a plurality of teeth on the surface of which serrations are provided and the positions of lands 5 of the serrations are successively shifted in the direction of a tooth trace are made into differential serrations. About one tooth of the internal gear of an object of working, the direction of shift of the position of the land 5 which acts at the next rotation to the position of the land which acts at one rotation of the internal gears and the direction of shift of the position of the land which acts at the further next rotation to the position of the land which acts at the next rotation of the internal gear are reversed. The internal gear is worked while alternately changing the direction of shift of the position of the land 5 to the opposite direction along the direction of the tooth trace for each rotation of the internal gear.
