PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for collecting groundwater in construction of an underground structure by cut-and-cover, which can maintain the flow of the groundwater by partially opening an earth retaining wall by a simple method and allowing the passage of water, so as to reduce a construction cost and shorten a construction period. SOLUTION: In this method for collecting the groundwater in the construction of the underground structure by the cut-and-cover, a water passing hole 5 is preformed in the partial area of the earth retaining wall 4 constructed in the construction of the underground structure; a meltable sheet 6 is arranged in the area in which the water passing hole 5 is formed; an electrically-heating wire 7 precedently runs between the meltable sheet 6 and the earth retaining wall 4; the earth retaining wall 4 is constructed; after the completion of excavation, electric current is applied to the electrically-heating wire 7 so that the meltable sheet 6 can be melted by heat to open the water passing hole 5; and imperviousness to water between ground 2 and the earth retaining wall 4 is released.
