PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL device capable of producing an organic EL element in a simple process. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the organic EL device provided with a support substrate 11, a plurality of organic EL elements 18 fitted on the support substrate 11, and a plurality of barrier ribs 15 for zoning the organic EL elements 18, the organic EL element 18 is equipped with first electrodes 12, a second electrode 17, and a light-emitting layer 16 containing an organic compound arranged between the first and the second electrodes. The manufacturing method of the organic EL device 10 includes a preparation process of preparing a support substrate 11 with the first electrodes 12 formed, a barrier-rib forming process for forming a plurality of barrier ribs 15 by supplying ink containing a material to be the barrier ribs discharged in a liquid column shape along a site where the barrier ribs are to be made, and furthermore, solidifying it, a light-emitting layer forming process of forming light-emitting layers 16 between the barrier ribs 15, and a second electrode forming process of forming the second electrode 17.
