PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric apparatus having a display device which secures simple and neat design when the display is off and which is excellent in visibility and recognizability when the display is on. SOLUTION: The electric apparatus has a display device configured such that a hard-to-see-through processed cover 20 is attached on the surface of a casing 10 of the electric apparatus, a dark-color-treated dark room 11 is provided on the rear face side of the cover 20, a light transmission body 30 is arranged in the dark room 11 in such a manner that a portion of the light transmission body protrudes from the deep wall of the dark room 11, and a light source 40 is arranged on the opposite side of the protruding part of the light transmission body 30.
