PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce stress given to an operator due to waiting time until radiography. SOLUTION: Radiography conditions, such as radiation quality and radiation dose of an X-ray radiated from an X-ray source 14, are set based on operation signals from an input device 18. Based on the set radiography conditions, the X-ray source 14 radiates an X-ray. By radiation of the X-ray, a latent image of an examinee H is recorded on IP 15. The recorded latent image is read by excitation light from an excitation light source 16. As the latent image is read, counting of time is started by a timer 25, while emission of the X-ray remaining in the IP 15 is started. As the radiography conditions are input from the input device 18, a waiting time setting part 27 refers to a lookup table 30 based on previous radiography conditions and current radiography conditions, and sets the waiting time.
