<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing glass, in which the melting temperature when molten glass is produced from a glass raw material is lowered to reduce energy consumption and homogenize the composition of the glass to be produced and to provide a method for producing the glass raw material and the glass raw material. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The glass raw material, which is used when glass is produced by melting the glass raw material to obtain molten glass and forming the molten glass, contains silica sand having ≤10 μm average particle diameter, sodium carbonate and calcium salt powder.
