<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase space efficiency in a cabin and improve the sitting comfortableness of a seat while the seat is moved. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This vehicle seat 10 includes a seat cushion 13 allowing an occupant to sit thereon, a seat back 14 supporting the back of the occupant, and a pedestal 16 on which these seat cushion 13 and the seat back 14 are placed. The outer end 24 of the pedestal 16 in the lateral direction is supported on a center pillar 19. Elastic members 27, 28 for elastically supporting the outer end 24 of the pedestal 16 on the center pillar 19 side are provided to support the outer end 24 of the pedestal 16 on the center pillar 19 so as to be rotatable horizontally.
