<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasification method which produces tar-free gas, without preparing a porous inorganic material which supports a tar after decomposed into a charcoal-like solid. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The gasification method for gasifying an organic product includes a pyrolysis step wherein an organic material is heated to be pyrolyzed into a tar-containing gas and a charcoal-like solid; and an adsorption step wherein the tar-containing gas generated by pyrolysis is brought into contact with the organic material before pyrolysis to allow the tar contained in the tar-containing gas to be adsorbed to the organic material.
