PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device and an electronic device charging system which turn a face adapted for power reception properly toward a charger. SOLUTION: When a cellular phone 10A is placed on a charger 20 to charge a secondary battery of the cellular phone 10A, if the back face 12A of a lower case 12 of the cellular phone 10A is not set counter to the charger 20, a magnetic sensor 17 of a back/front detecting unit 32 of the cellular phone 10A does not detect magnetism from a magnet 22 of the charger 20. The cellular phone 10A thus reports a user of its improper position for charging. This reports makes the user aware that the cellular phone 10A is in an improper position to the charger 20, thus prompting the user to direct a face adapted for power reception, that is, the back face 12A of the lower case 12 toward the charger 20.
