摘要 A thin-film superconducting wire rod wherein a copper plating tin film is formed on the surface of a multilayer structure has a degraded flexural characteristic compared with the flexural characteristic of a thin-film superconducting wire rod having no copper plating thin film formed thereon. In order to suppress the degrading of the flexural characteristic, the thin-film super conducting wire rod (10) is provided with a multilayer structure (20) which includes a substrate (1), an intermediate layer (3) formed on one of the main surfaces of the substrate (1), and a superconducting layer (5) formed on the intermediate layer (3) main surface on the reverse side of the main surface facing the substrate (1). The thin-film superconducting wire rod (10) is further provided with a copper plating thin film (9) covering the outer circumference of the multilayer structure (20), and the residual stress inside of the copper plating thin film (9) operates as compression stress. The multilayer structure (20) may be provided with a silver-sputtered layer (6), and furthermore, may be provided with a silver coating layer (7) covering the outer circumference of the multilayer structure (20) between the copper plating thin film (9) and the multilayer structure (20).
