The vehicle comprises a vehicle engine (2), an alternator (3), a direct current network (4) and an alternating current network (5). The networks are supplied by a vehicle battery (6) which is electrically connected with the alternator over an alternating current to direct current converter (8) during running of the vehicle engine. The direct current network is connected to the vehicle battery, where the alternating current network is electrically connected with the vehicle battery over a direct current to alternating current converter (9).
