PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an atomization promotion device for fuel responding short-time fuel spraying and atomizing the fuel in a simply and freely controllable manner. SOLUTION: The atomization promotion device for fuel includes an electrode couple 150 supplying charged particles to a space in the vicinity of a fuel jet, and an electromagnetic wave radiator irradiating electromagnetic wave using an antenna 151, forming a strong electric field in the space in the vicinity of the fuel jet, supplying energy to the charged particles inside the space, and thereby generating plasma in the space, and promotes atomization of the fuel by changing surface tension of the fuel jet using the plasma.
