The invention relates to a closing container (1) for placing in a washing machine, comprising two shell portions (3, 4), said container(l) having a postable state in which the two shell portions (3,4) are nested so that the container (1) can be inserted through a domestic letter box, and an assembled state in which the two shell portions (3, 4) are positioned at their rim (A, B) against each other and are connected to each other so as to form a cavity (6) for a detergent, and in which the dosing container (1) is provided with an opening (8) allowing to fill the cavity (6) with detergent and dispense the detergent from the cavity (6).
